About Me

I’m married with a great husband and two lovely grown up daughters. I was a teacher for almost 40 years, supporting children with additional needs, their parents, their teachers and school staff too.

When I retired I was looking for something I’d enjoy, something that had similar skills; communication, listening, fun, whilst also making a difference.

I’ve been a Humanist celebrant now for over 7 years, conducting legal weddings around Scotland, and I love my job!

I love meeting couples, hearing how they met and how they come to be standing in front of all their closest family and friends on their wedding day, creating unique and very personal wedding cereomies for each of my couples, and being there with them on their wedding day as they say ‘I do’. Whether it’s on a hillside, a lochside, on a bandstand, or in one of the beautiful venues we have around Scotland, it is always exciting and a huge privilege to have a part in the wedding day of the couples I work with. It’s something I am so very grateful for.
